When life keeps repeating the same painful chapters, something deeper is speaking. Timebreak is a space to finally hear it.
René Frei is a psychologist based between Germany and Amsterdam, specialising in depth-psychological work with psychosomatic conditions, trauma, and the unconscious patterns that quietly shape our lives. He integrates body-oriented and somatic approaches into his practice.
Working with individuals who feel caught in repetitive emotional cycles — relationships that replicate old wounds, symptoms that speak when words fall short, and a persistent sense that something important remains just out of reach.
Sessions available in Germany, Amsterdam and online. Self-pay. English, German and Italian spoken.
Most approaches treat symptoms. Timebreak works with the deeper structure — the relational blueprints, somatic holding patterns, and unconscious conflicts that keep the loop running.
Rooted in object relations and psychodynamic theory, we explore how early relational experiences shape the present — and how unconscious patterns sustain themselves.
The body holds what the mind cannot yet speak. Through body-oriented attunement and somatic tracking, we work with the nervous system directly.
The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a living laboratory — a place to notice, name, and transform old patterns in real time, with a practitioner who brings their whole self.
Repetitive patterns — in relationships, in emotions, in physical symptoms — are not character flaws. They are adaptive responses that once made sense and now no longer serve.
Timebreak therapy works at the precise point where the loop can be interrupted: not through willpower or insight alone, but through a deep, embodied experience of something new.
All sessions are individual, confidential, and conducted with depth and care. Available in English, German and Italian.
Weekly or biweekly sessions exploring unconscious patterns, early relational dynamics, and the meaning beneath symptoms. Tiefenpsychologisch fundiert.
